CCAD’s Gaca conquers TikTok, Fashion Week

Andy Warhol notably predicted that someday, everyone would have their 15 minutes of fame. 

But he hadn’t met Tyler Gaca. 

Gaca (Fine Arts, 2017), Columbus College of Art & Design’s Coordinator for Continuing & Professional Studies, has parlayed his one-minute comedic videos on TikTok to much more than Warhol’s 15 minutes, netting him nearly 300,000 followers on the social media platform and, recently, an invitation to the prestigious New York Fashion Week. Gaca was one of three popular influencers invited to document Fashion Week as part of a partnership between TikTok and Fashion Week. News of the partnership was covered by the likes of Vogue (UK), Business of Fashion, Fashionista, Glossy, Yahoo News, Austria’s Heute,  ITP Live, and Tech News Base.

Most recently, Gaca was interviewed by Flaunt magazine in a Q&A in which he discussed the COVID-19 pandemic and TikTok, as well as the roots of racism in the United States.
