Fine Arts alumnus shows work in Korea, Malaysia
Fine Arts alumnus Douglas Black (CCAD 1990) was invited to exhibit his work for the third time at the 2014 Mungyeong Traditional Chasabal Festival April 30–May 6, voted the best festival in Korea by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism.
The festival celebrates the chasabal, a traditional Korean tea bowl. One of Black's tea bowls was accepted for permanent display in the Mungyeong Ceramic Museum.
Black was also invited to exhibit his work and participate in a workshop at the 2014 Selsius-USM International Ceramic Festival in Penang, Malaysia. Black's work will be on display through April 30.
Black currently lives in Japan.
