Master of puppets

Two 15-foot-tall Irish-dancer puppets by Columbus College of Art & Design Fine Arts Lab Tech Bruce Hanners caught the eyes of onlookers at this year’s Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the attention of The Columbus Dispatch.

While large balloons typically draw the attention of gawkers, attendees “would soon catch sight of the puppets and either drift nearer to get a better look or point them out to others as the puppets danced their way down the street,” the paper reported.

Hanners has also created similar skeleton puppets for HighBall Halloween in the Short North.
