Two Columbus College of Art & Design Student Agency employees created merch designs for the 2019 Columbus Arts Festival. Yi Fei (Yiffy) Gu (Illustration, 2019) and Eun-Ji (Alma) Kim (Animation, 2020) designed T-shirts and tote bags that will be sold at this year’s Arts Fest, which runs from Friday, June 7, through Sunday, June 9. President Melanie Corn is among the board members of CBUS Retail, a nonprofit networking organization that will be hosting CBUS19: Retail Re-Thought June 5–6 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, reported Columbus CEO magazine. More than 1,200 people are expected to attend the conference to see presenters from Google, DSW, Green Growth Brands, Restoration Hardware, FAO Schwarz, Abercrombie and Fitch, Big Lots, Ascena, Target, Kroger, and Krispy Kreme. The Library Leadership & Management Association, a division of the American Library Association, will present Marketing & Outreach Librarian Shiva Shakeri and her student assistant Lumeng (Izzy) Zhong (Advertising & Graphic Design, 2020) with an award for the 2019 PR XChange Competition at a ceremony next month. They won the Special Events and Exhibits category in the budget category of Under $1 Million for their promotion of Packard Library workshops in 2019. Read more here.
