The artist's statement is ubiquitous. It's a key piece of portfolios, websites, catalogs, proposals, and applications. But crafting a great artist's statement—one that is vibrant, specific, and a productive piece of an artist's body of work—can feel elusive. In this virtual workshop, participants will learn what makes a compelling artist's statement and how to confidently put words on their work. One registrant will be selected at random to receive a 1:1 revision and refinement session on their artist's statement with Dr. Jennifer Schlueter, Professor and Dean, Graduate Studies.
