Reduce stress & be a healthier creative. Here’s how.

Stress is real. But you can learn how to reduce it (and lead a happier, more creative life) through a regular mindfulness practice.

Good news: we’re offering a four-week mindfulness-based stress reduction workshop for students during spring semester as part of our focus on healthy creativity. The workshop classes run 1–2:30 p.m. Fridays, Jan. 31Feb. 21

The series is free and open to CCAD students at any level, but space is limited. Sign up on Self-Service by adding WKSP0100.01: CCAD Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction to your Spring 2020 schedule. The deadline to sign up is Friday, Jan. 17.

Preferred names are a Go

Good news: Preferred first names are now active in GoStudio! GoStudio users will now see preferred first names (and only the preferred name) in GoStudio rosters, forums, in account information, and elsewhere.

All-gender bathroom update

Heads up: You now need to use your CCAD ID for swipe access to the gender-inclusive restroom on the first floor of Crane Center. This access change was made because the restroom is a private, single-stall room with a shower, located in a publicly accessible building. As such, it attracts non-CCAD community members to enter Crane and use the space, causing a safety concern for our community.

Please note: When the manual lock is engaged from the inside, no one can swipe in from the outside, so privacy is maintained.

If you have any issues accessing this restroom, please visit the Safety & Security Office in the Administration Building during normal business hours, or call 614.222.6165.

Seniors: Apply to graduate ASAP

Seniors! If you're planning to graduate this spring, don't forget to submit your application by this Friday, Jan. 17. You can find the form you need at the Registrar's office in Student Central.
