Linnea's areas of research include Victorian Fairy Tale illustration, Physiognomy and its effect on character design, and the interaction of children's media and its surrounding sociocultural context. She obtained her MA in Art History from Ohio University ('22) and received her BA in Studio Art from North Greenville University in upstate South Carolina ('18). A practicing illustrator herself, she specializes in digital and two-dimensional illustration which can be viewed on her Instagram and Facebook, @artnessbylinnea. Her main sources of inspiration include animated films, children’s book illustration, and vintage comics. Linnea also serves at the Creative and Digital Administrator for First Presbyterian Church in Athens, Ohio.
