First Columbus Black International Film Festival makes its mark
Julia Hamilton won't start at Columbus College of Art & Design until this fall, but the incoming Master of Fine Arts student is already making a splash on the arts scene. This summer alone, she has a duo show at Sean Christopher Gallery, a solo show at The Table, plus selected pieces on view at the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition and the Ohio Governor’s Office and Residence Artwork Loan Program. With such accomplishments on her C.V., "one might wonder, 'Why bother with art school?'" said a Columbus Alive writer in a recent profile of the artist.
A standout Master comes to CCAD
CCAD grad Annie Burley (Animation, 2016) is now an artist in residence at Millworks Art Studios. She was featured in a recent Columbus Alive article that also mentioned a few other past resident artists and CCAD alums: Cameron Granger (Film & Video, 2016) and Visiting Faculty Liz Roberts (MFA, 2014).
