MFA program launches alumni across the country, around the globe
From the world-renowned East–West Fellowship in Egypt to film screenings at Microscope Gallery in New York City, alumni of CCAD's Master of Fine Arts program are finding their places in the world of art and design.
Making Waves Abroad
Now in its fourth year, the MFA program graduated 14 students in May, two of whom were boarding a plane to Egypt while their classmates were walking across the Palace Theatre stage to receive their diplomas.

Statewide exhibition to showcase student, faculty, alumni work
A host of CCAD students, alumni, and faculty will be represented in IMAGEOhio 14 opening Jan. 21 at the Fort Hayes Shot Tower Gallery.
The annual exhibition of the best photography, video, and new media art in the state will showcase 49 works by 31 artists, selected by jurors Shannon Benine, assistant professor of photography at CCAD, and Aspen Mays, assistant professor of art at Ohio State University. Eight of the artists are connected to CCAD.

Ohio Art League Gallery showcases MFA alumna, student
The Ohio Art League's November member-curated exhibition No/Where/NOW/Here features a collaborative work by MFA alumna Linda T. Diec (CCAD 2013) and MFA candidate Jill Raymundo.
The exhibition is loosely based on Jorge Luis Borges' short story The Garden of Forking Paths. The installation pieces in it relate to ideas Diec formulated while she was in grad school at CCAD.

Alumni, faculty named finalists for Media Arts Fellowship
Media Studies Still-Based alumnus Mike Olenick (2000), MFA alumna Pamela Theodotou (2013), and Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Phil Garrett were among eight finalists for the 2013 Media Arts Fellowship, presented by the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the Columbus Film Council.
The final fellowship decisions will be made by visiting filmmakers John Haptas and Kristine Samuelson during an awards ceremony hosted by the Columbus International Film + Video Festival on Nov. 16 at CCAD's Canzani Center. Three awards are available: one for $3,500 and two for $1,500.

Downtown Columbus gallery to showcase alum's work
Angela Meleca Gallery will feature Adjunct Instructor and MFA alumnus Andrew McCauley (CCAD 2013) in Head Games, a solo exhibition opening Nov. 7.
McCauley’s work is concerned with the effects that diseases like multiple sclerosis have on the body and mind.
"His characters are caught in the experience of nervous and circulatory system failure and, ultimately, a total loss of mobility," says McCauley's artist statement. "The playful, intentionally unsophisticated characters act as a balance to lighten the heavy connotation of their decline."

Alumni in Columbus group exhibition
Four CCAD alumni have their work included in the 13th annual ImageOhio exhibition organized by Roy G Biv Gallery and on view at The Shot Tower Gallery at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Educational Center, Jan. 18–Feb. 15.
The exhibition is juried by Bill Horrigan, curator at large for the Wexner Center for the Arts. Work includes photographs, projections, and video.

CCAD alumni and faculty will show their work in the Ohio Art League Curated Exhibition, presented by the Ohio Arts Council at the Riffe Gallery, Jan. 31–April 14.

MFA alumni exhibit work in group exhibition
MFA alumni Nathan Gorgen and Elena Harvey Collins are participating in Shifting Margins, a group exhibition put on by OFF Space, in San Francisco.
