Jonathan Pezzatta is an animator with backgrounds in both 2D and 3D animation. Jonathan graduated from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2013 after the success of Lumin, a film created by him and his fellow colleagues which has won extensive awards such as The Telly Awards: 'Non-Broadcast' and 'People's Telly'in 2013, The Society of Illustrators Competition: 1st place award in 2014, and The Columbus Society of Communicating Arts:'Best Student Film' in 2014.

Teaches traditional animation, 3D animation and game art courses at CCAD. Nathan is an animator and illustrator that works with a range of video/motion, interactive and traditional/physical mediums. He has experience as a 3D animator and interactive design with several Columbus Ohio based companies and locally based indie game studio.

Columbus College of Art & Design and the Ohio Film Group (OFG) have teamed up for several years to facilitate real-world work experiences and potential employment opportunities for CCAD students and graduates.
Starting in fall 2018, that connection will be even stronger.

The world of animated storytelling changes as fast as the technology that makes it — and delivers it.
“Most people have a screen with them at all times. Access to content is the norm,” says Animation Chair Charlotte Belland. “There is a hunger for stories right now, and animation’s role in telling these cultural stories will evolve because the technology, and access to it, are breaking down a lot of institutional barriers.”

A short film by a team of CCAD students has been selected to air on COSI’s dome-shaped screen during IMERSA Summit 2018, Feb. 24 – 27. Each year, filmmakers from a range of backgrounds submit work to be featured and acceptance is competitive.
