Five CCAD fashion alumnae will present their designs in the Short North Arts District’s HighBall Halloween Costume Couture Fashion Showdown in Columbus. Barb Wallace (CCAD ’99), Tina Matthews (CCAD ’03), Madeleine Etter (CCAD ’09), Shann Cortes (CCAD ’10), and Cierra Cunningham (CCAD ’10) are among the eleven Columbus-area fashion designers chosen to feature their work.

Buchanan enrolled at CCAD in 1988 to study retail advertising and fashion illustration. After CCAD, he moved to New York City in 1992 to pursue a career in fashion design. While taking courses at Parsons School of Design, Buchanan worked with prestigious clothing lines Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, J.Crew, and Michael Kors. Buchanan moved to Milano, Italy in 1995, and worked for Bottega Veneta for six years. He was hired to develop a capsule collection of knitwear and leather goods to round off the world of Bottega Veneta.
