Alumnus-directed music video appears in magazines, film fests

Music video directed by alumnus rakes in online viewers
Photo courtesy of Aztech Productions.The Reason the latest music video by hip hop artist Upwords, received more than 18,000 YouTube views within the first 16 hours it was available online. Less than five days later the video, directed by Joseph Lombardi (CCAD 2010) was at more than 117,000 views.

CCAD alumnus wins prize for documentary
The documentary film Beauty of the Fight by John Urbano (CCAD, ’96) has won first prize in the feature documentary category at the Athens, OH International Film + Video Festival.
Beauty of the Fight has also been accepted into the HBO-presented New York International Latino Film Festival, the Maine International Film Festival, and the Montezuma International Film Festival in Costa Rica.

Animation alumnus seeks votes for 'Nothing is Impossible Challenge'
Nolan, a short film by alumnus Tyler Mele, is entered in Saatchi & Saatchi and Aniboom’s “Nothing is Impossible Challenge.” Vote by June 14 to determine the winning entry, which will be presented in the New Directors’ Showcase at the Cannes Advertising Festival on June 24.

CCAD alumna joins 48 hour film challenge
Mindy Good (CCAD,’04) was part of a local team that took part in the 48 Hour Film Project.
In partnership with Anna Headley under the name Headley Productions, Good undertook the international initiative's challenge to write, shoot, edit, and score a film in one weekend.
All participating teams were given a set of elements they must use (e.g. a line, a character and a prop) and each team gets a different genre. Good and Headley were assigned their genre, ghost film, at 7 p.m. on a Friday.
