Illustration alumnus Jack Montmeat (CCAD 2002) received a Certificate of Excellence award from the Portrait Society of America for his painting "The Girl in Red."
Montmeat spent several months on the award-winning oil painting and said that he learned much of what he knows about portraiture from classes and professors at CCAD.

A piece by MFA alumna Liz Morrison (CCAD 2013) was chosen for Sky: A National Juried Exhibition at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, CA.
The installation piece, titled echo, was on display in CCAD’s Canzani Gallery in April 2013 as part of Traces of a Moving Point, the 2013 MFA thesis exhibition.

Fine Arts alumna Sarah Fairchild (CCAD 1994) and MFA alumnus Andrew McCauley (CCAD 2013) are featured in the March issue of CityScene magazine.
Fairchild and McCauley are two of eight artists and gallery owners included in the Art & Fashion feature.

The New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, CT, announced the unveiling of an installation by Fine Arts alumna Soo Sunny Park (CCAD 1998).
The stainless steel and plexiglass piece, titled Boundary Conditions, will transform the LeWitt staircase and fill the space with transmitted, reflected, and refracted light, said an article on Artdaily.com.

Fine Arts alumnus Ryan Kapp's limited edition prints are available for purchase at CB2, a sister store to home goods retailer Crate & Barrel.
Kapp is one of six artists to be featured in the store's exclusive collection curated by Renegade Craft Fair, a worldwide network of events celebrating DIY crafters.

Work by Fine Arts alumna Erin McKenna (CCAD 2012) is now on display in bud & rot, a two-artist exhibition with Dana Lynn Harper at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center that continues through March 8.
The show was recently featured in an article in the Columbus Dispatch. The work in it focuses on a shared source of inspiration: anxiety.

"Untitled," by Lisa Watson
Fine Arts alumna Lisa Watson (CCAD 1991) will have work included in a show at Indigo Sky Community Gallery in Savannah, GA, beginning March 15.
The exhibition, Familiar Terrain, will include works by Watson and Lind Hollingsworth, who were both influenced by their neighborhood and city surroundings.

Fine Arts alumna Jamie Dicus' handmade bacon cufflinks are featured in the bacon issue of Food Network magazine, now on newsstands.
Inspired by her "foodie brothers," the copper strips of bacon are hand etched and inlaid with sterling silver solder, said the 2007 alumna and CCAD library assistant.
The cufflinks are on sale in Dicus' Etsy shop.

A host of CCAD students, alumni, and faculty will be represented in IMAGEOhio 14 opening Jan. 21 at the Fort Hayes Shot Tower Gallery.
The annual exhibition of the best photography, video, and new media art in the state will showcase 49 works by 31 artists, selected by jurors Shannon Benine, assistant professor of photography at CCAD, and Aspen Mays, assistant professor of art at Ohio State University. Eight of the artists are connected to CCAD.

ROY G BIV Gallery will feature work by Fine Arts alumnus Greg Ponchak (CCAD 2013) and Fine Arts senior Kyle Franklin beginning Jan. 4.
The two-artist exhibition of interdisciplinary artwork will challenge dominant social roles and expectations. Franklin embraces the LGBT counterculture’s potential for social change, while Ponchak explores alternate modes of existence within dominant ideologies.
