Fine Arts alumna Samantha Bennett is scheduled to appear on the July 14th episode of TLC’s NY Ink.
Bennett (CCAD 1995–1999) was invited to be part of the show’s Everyday People Project to share her story and art after a spring trip to the Big Apple.

Fine Arts alumna Susan Li O’Connor (CCAD 1996) is one of three artists featured in an exhibition opening July 12 in Columbus.
New Works: Ginnie Baer, Matt Logsdon, Susan Li O’Connor will be at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Carnegie Gallery beginning July 12. An opening reception is 5:30–8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14 in the library's second-floor gallery at 96 S. Grant Ave.

Seven alumni who studied Photography, Fine Arts and Media Studies teamed up to present Fringed: a fashionably fine art exhibition in Columbus.
Held at Fringe Outfitters, the event included art especially selected for the space and fashions from the boutique clothing store, as well as a silent auction, music, and raffle prizes.

Fine Arts alumnus Kurt Fondriest (CCAD 1985) was included in the annual Misericordia Home group show The Artist in All, which was visited by more than 1,400 guests during its fundraising event.
The show was held at the modern wing of The Art Institute of Chicago and featured the artwork created by the residents at Misericordia Home in Chicago, which is home to more than 600 adults living with various developmental disabilities.

Pastiche, an exhibition by Fine Arts alumna Kate Rivers (CCAD 1978), will open August 5 at Mathews Gallery in Sante Fe, New Mexico.

Times New Viking (TNV), whose members are 2004 Fine Arts alumni Beth Murphy, Adam Elliot, and Jared Phillips, were featured in the June 30thColumbus Dispatch for their upcoming performance at the Wexner Center for the Arts. The group hits the stage Friday, July 1 at 9 p.m.

Fine Arts alumna Molly Burke (CCAD 2006) recently participated in a Cleveland West Art League (CWAL) exhibition with Cleveland painter Julie Morgan.
The exhibition is described on the CWAL website as a presentation of “work that evokes life cycles and transformation, sometimes with darker undertones.” The website also calls attention to the undeniable visual parallels between the works.

Fine Arts alumna Mallory McClellan (CCAD 2010) was featured in Columbus Alive! for the sculpture she built for Harrison Park, a soon-to-be complete park in Columbus’s Harrison West district.
In the article McClellan talked about why she chose to study sculpture at CCAD. “With sculpture, I feel like I'm actually making something. I started out as a painting major—then had to take a sculpture class for fine arts and just got hooked. I like being able to get my hands dirty. I like being really one-on-one and having a completely active role in what I'm making.”

Fine Arts alumnus Ross Caliendo (CCAD 2011) was featured in weekly newspaper Cincinnati CityBeat’s article, Art: Rites of Passage and Magnitude 7.
Caliendo’s painting is one of the 13 works on display at the exhibition, an annual show showcasing the work of college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates. Jurors selected the works from more than 381 entries from students at 88 colleges and universities.
