Fuel to the Fire: The Poster Design of Methane Studios showcases the recent, screen-printed posters by award-winning CCAD alumni and business partners Robert Lee (CCAD '89) and Mark McDevitt (CCAD '89).
The exhibition includes the duo's distinctive poster work and is on view in Atlanta at Gallery See through Oct. 1. It moves to Savannah College of Art & Design's Alexander Hall Gallery in Savannah, GA beginning Oct. 11–Nov. 15.

Two CCAD alumni are among the 10 artists ImagineFX Magazine recently featured in its "Rising Stars" competition.
Bernadette Carstensen (CCAD ’10) and Jake Murray (CCAD ’10) are identified in Issue 61 as rising stars of digital art and among the very finest under-25s creating fantasy and sci-fi art.

Johnny Yanok (CCAD ’98) supplies the illustrations for the newly-released Just Too Cute: And Other Tales of Adorable Animals for Horrible Children.
The book for young readers, a collection of stories and poems that emphasize mischief, is authored by Mike Reiss, a television comedy writer whose credits include The Simpsons.
A review in Publisher’s Weekly describes Yanok’s illustrations: “In cheerful cartoons that recall 1950s animation, Yanok keeps up with the madcap plots while adding whimsical details of his own."

Bernadette Carstensen (Illustration, ’10) has been awarded one of three full-ride scholarships to attend IlluXCon in Altoona, PA in November. The third annual symposium features the largest gathering of original art in the fantasy/sci-fi genre, as well as an educational symposium. The scholarships, awarded to the best students in the field, are funded by the sale of donated art created at the previous year’s event.

The illustration work of CCAD alumnus Thom Glick (Illustration, '04) was used to create a 12 tile pattern of environmentally friendly decorative floor tiles for FLOR. Glick's character sketching is featured in the manufacturer's summer catalog and on its website at http://www.flor.com.

Rosanne Percivalle (Illustration, '80) was named the 2010 recipient of the Joseph V. Canzani Alumni Award for Excellence during homecoming ceremonies May 14th.
Percivalle is founder and principal of 2D3D Design, Inc., a New York City-based custom design studio specializing in the design and creation of artwork, furnishings and sculpture for interior and exterior applications.
