CCAD Illustration alumnus Jeff Stahler (CCAD 1977) had a conversation with WOSU host Ann Fisher on her show All Sides with Ann Fisher on 89.7 NPR News Monday, Feb. 21. The pair talked about the unique world of a humorist and cartoonist.

Drawing Laughter: A Chalk Talk with Jeff Stahler, an exhibition of Stahler's work, opens Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Hammond Harkins Gallery in Bexley. He will demonstrate drawing and answer questions at the free event.

Illustration alumnus Anthony S. Baker (CCAD 1986) returned to campus to share his medical illustration expertise with CCAD students Monday, February 21 in Canzani Center Auditorium Auditorium.

Baker is a medical illustrator and graphic designer who also does project planning and management. After earning a degree in medical illustration from The Ohio State University (OSU), Baker worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Neurosurgery and Mayfield Clinic.

Illustration Alumnus Mark Price (CCAD 1995) recently directed a music video for Seattle-based rock band Visqueen. Mead Notebooks and Converse All-Stars used the video in their advertising campaigns.

Alumnus Jeff Pierson (CCAD 1999) was recently featured in West Virginia’s Charleston Gazette for his full-time work as director of arts for the state Division of Culture and History and his after-hours illustration work.

Nathan Greno (1993-1996) worked as one-half of the directing duo for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ recent box-office smash, Tangled. Together with Director Byron Howard, Storyboard Director Greno successfully created the Rapunzel-based musical film.

WVIZ/PBS in northeastern Ohio created a documentary about the life of alumnus Dean Mitchell (CCAD 1980) for his recent exhibition Dean Mitchell: Space, People & Places at the Canton Museum of Art. The exhibition features 40 recent paintings and opened with a gala Dec. 4 at the Canton Museum of Art and runs through March 6, 2011.

Alumnus Paul Richmond (CCAD ’02) literally caught celebrities Perez Hilton, Jesse Archer, Mike Ruiz, and James St. James with their pants down (with their permission, of course!) for his upcoming Cheesecake Boy exhibition.

David Crosland (CCAD '00) illustrated a short story by Kelly-Sue DeConnick for the soon-to-be-released Yo Gabba Gabba! Comic Anthology, based on the critically acclaimed Nickelodeon television series.

An exhibition of new works by illustrator James Elston (CCAD, '94) titled Through Windows and Doors opens Saturday, Oct. 2 in Johnstown, PA.

The exhibit is a visual journey of the past seven years as the artist worked as an animator at Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio in Florida and then returned to Pennsylvania as a full-time freelance illustrator. His film credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove and Lilo and Stitch.
