Having digital copies of your artwork can prove invaluable to any artist. You can use them when applying to colleges, participating in contests, or when displaying your work on a website or blog. They serve as a back-up in case of fire, theft, or sale. Here are a few tips you can follow to take better photographs of your artwork:

Works by several CCAD alumni and faculty are part of exhibitions around central Ohio this summer. The boundaries of the photographic medium are pushed in Fragments of an Unknowable Whole. The group exhibition includes works by Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Eileen Mueller (CCAD 1965), Media Studies Still-Based alumnus Mike Olenick (CCAD 2000), and Assistant Professor of Photography Shannon Benine.
Summer exhibitions include alumni, faculty work
ROY G BIV Gallery will show the work of CCAD alumni John F. Malta (Illustration 2010) and Nichole Senter (Photography 2010) in GOOD GRIEF June 7–28. The exhibition will feature installations, posters, drawings, and paintings by the CCAD alumni alongside work by Michael Marine, longtime friend of Malta and Senter. The three have been collaborating on comics and zines for the last ten years.

Photography alumna Manjari Sharma (CCAD 2004) is on a roll. Her recent feature in the Los Angeles Times is proof of the artist's incredible momentum as of late. Sharma's Shower and Darshan series have been widely exhibited around the United States and throughout the world, and were the focus of the article published on Framework, the Los Angeles Times photography page.

Media Studies Still-Based alumna Danielle Dean Palmer (CCAD 2003) was given the Spotlight Award in a special issue of Diffusion magazine published in December. The independent, contributor- and reader-supported annual highlights and celebrates unconventional photographic processes and photo-related artwork and introduces new and innovative voices through articles, interviews, and image galleries.
