Dispatch shines light on grad's Columbus Arts Festival sculpture
Structural Circumstances E.G. 2, a 24-by-eight-foot replica of a mobile home made from multicolored, transparent plexiglass by Samuel Wagner (Fine Arts, 2008) and wife Christabel, "is intended to symbolize the meaningful lives those in rural areas lead, and to challenge city residents to rethink the assumptions they make about poorer communities," wrote The Columbus Dispatch in a feature on the work. The Wagners were awarded a $25,000 commission from American Electric Power, a major Arts Festival sponsor, after their work was selected by a jury.
