Two new groups from CCAD’s Counseling & Wellness Center are here to help students deal with intense emotions and process grief. They are:

  • Wild Mind: Finding Calm in the Chaos, which uses Dialectical Behavior therapy to help group members develop skills such as being present in the moment and identifying and expressing emotions, meets weekly starting this Thursday, Feb. 13, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Navigating Loss: A Grief Processing Group, for students struggling with someone’s death, is intended to help members process grief and develop connection and understanding. The group, which will start later this month, will meet Fridays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

CCAD has great stories to tell. We want to help you tell them.

The CCAD community is full of amazing events and stories. And we want to promote them through the right channels, including this very newsletter, MY CCAD. But we can’t do it without your help—and without a little time to craft an effective message on your behalf. So we’re introducing a new timetable to help you get the word out about your upcoming show, campus event, or cool workshop. In order to be considered for inclusion in MY CCAD, please submit info at least three weeks in advance of your event at ccad.edu/shareyourstory.
