Stay safe while moving out

Whether you live off-campus or on, if you’re moving out, you’ll want to check out advice from the Ohio Department of Health on how to do so safely to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

ODH recommends students:

  • Maintain distancing of at least six feet as much as possible during packing and moving
  • Cover your coughs, wash your hands, and refrain from touching your face
  • Wear a face mask
  • Don’t allow people who are sick to help you move
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces, including moving vehicles’ handles, steering wheels, seats, and knobs
  • Contact your landlord to request flexible or staggered move-out dates to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 transmission

We’re in this together

Even though we might be physically distanced because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CCAD community is in this together. See what your classmates, professors, and college faculty are up to--and show off your own work--on social with the hashtag #CCADcreateaway. There, you’ll see all sorts of examples of how community members are working, creating, thinking, and innovating.

For instance, the image above comes from CCAD seniors @sarahalbanese.illustrations and @archer.illustrations, who shared their designs for a series of printable and e-cards to honor those who are fighting on the front lines against COVID-19. Head over to their Instagram accounts for a link to the files.

Crunch culture” in game development--the industry practice of long hours of before a game’s debut”--is subject of a new card game developed by CCAD students with ODAM Publishing that shows players the positive impact of healthy choices. Last week, 100 Hours Till Launch debuted on Twitch; it also is available as a free print and play here, and recently picked up press coverage from The Gamer. Read more here.
