Student Emergency Fund
CCAD Student Emergency Fund guidelines
The CCAD Student Emergency Fund provides one-time funds to students who are experiencing extreme financial hardship or an unexpected large financial need that impacts their ability to continue their education at CCAD. The fund is administered by the Dean of Students, who consults with other staff members about requests and fund disbursements. Generally, the maximum amount of funds provided to a student will be $400, but the student’s individual circumstances and need will be taken into account. Availability of funds varies and may not be available at time of request.
The fund is designed to support the following types of situations:
- Financial hardship that is beyond the student’s control
- Severe impact on the student’s health, safety, or ability to remain enrolled
- Lack of other resources (i.e., financial aid, loans, employment, or other cost-of-living adjustments)
- Reproductive health care hardships, traveling, and/or lodging
The following criteria will be considered in making disbursement recommendations:
- Fund availability
- Student’s/parent’s income level
- Nature of circumstances and intended purpose of funds
- Student’s academic performance
- Student’s disciplinary record
- Previous funding requests by student
- Amount of student’s request
- Total amount of funds available
Please complete and submit the Student Emergency Fund Request form to begin the process. The request will be reviewed as quickly as possible and a response will be provided via CCAD student email, typically within 3 business days.
