Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Chavilah Bennett (CCAD 2012) made her mark in a big way—on a giant LED screen in Times Square.
Bennett and Columbus design studio S77 created a short looping "screensaver" video for EXPRESS that played in between ads on high resolution screens in New York City's Times Square.
The video featured Bennett's simple designs and movement to complement the stationary EXPRESS logo, and played throughout December and January.

Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Chavilah Bennett (CCAD 2012) talked about her childhood, artistic style, and individuality in an article in the February issue of 614 magazine.
“The creative things I do on my job definitely influence my personal artwork,” Bennett said.

Tiny masterpieces are on display at the Ohio Art League's Thumb Box exhibition, running through Dec. 28 at the OAL Gallery in South Campus Gateway of Columbus, OH.
The annual show challenges OAL members to submit 2D and 3D works which can measure no more than 6 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches.

CCAD alumnus Mitch Tennison’s latest design invites beachgoers to “rediscover the beach” with Sandbol— an easy-to-carry game made specifically for playing on sand.
Tennison, an Advertising & Graphic Design alumnus (CCAD 2002), dreamed up the idea in 2008 and left his day job in September 2012 to make his sketches a reality.
With the help of two fellow designers, Tennison built prototypes and tested the game on the West Coast and in the Midwest.

Media Studies Time-Based alumnus Nate Reese (2005) and Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Chavilah Bennett (2012) worked on a new CCAD recruitment video with S77, a Columbus-based creative design studio.
The video will be shown to prospective students during admissions presentations.
Densil Porteous, director of Admissions, said having alumni work on the video behind the scenes added another layer of excitement to the process.

CCAD alumni worked on Pearl Jam's newest music video, Mind Your Manners, through S77, a motion graphics company in Columbus, OH.
Working on the special effects were: Media Studies alumni Sean Conner (CCAD 2005), Nate Reese (CCAD 2005), Chris Meister (CCAD 2006), Chris Schoenman (CCAD 2008), and Scott Ulliman (CCAD 2010) and Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Chavilah Bennett (CCAD 2012).

CCAD alumni have work in the group exhibition Elusive Nature at the Concourse Gallery in Upper Arlington, OH, through Aug. 20.
Advertising & Graphic Design alumna Bonnie Weir (CCAD 1989) and Fine Arts alumni Casey Bradley (CCAD 2001) and Kathleen Pepicello (CCAD 2002) have work in the exhibition along with 22 other artists. Elusive Nature, which was juried by the gallery's visual arts committee, features work that reflectes on the relationship humans have with nature.

Fine Arts alumni Clint Davidson (CCAD 2000) and Bobby Silver (CCAD 1999), and Advertising & Graphic Design alumnus Paul Giovis (CCAD 2012) worked on 614 magazine’s 2013 ColumBest cover.
The May cover featured Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams standing in front of a chalkboard elaborately sketched with images ranging from ice cream cones to burgers to wine glasses to a shirt and tie.
