Fine Arts alumna Angelina Moneir (CCAD 2013) and MFA alumna Linda Diec (CCAD 2013) both have work in the 2013 International Student Online Exhibition presented by the Glass Art Society.
The exhibition features student submissions from 11 countries and a juried catalog of student work.
Moneir's piece, Khelack Ezzaz, investigates the divide between modern industrialized society and the natural world. Diec's Halo, an installation piece, was one of 31 submissions selected for the catalog.

The Columbus Cultural Arts Center's latest exhibition is titled to pose a question to artists and visitors alike: You Call That Art?
Opening Oct. 5, the show featuring several CCAD alumni and faculty will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art, also known as the Armory Show, in New York City. That groundbreaking exhibition introduced modernism to America with pieces by Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne, Picasso, and Matisse.

Fall's Whisper, a painting by Fine Arts alumnus Kurt Fondriest (CCAD 1985), is featured in Autumn, an exhibition at the Life Force Arts Center in Chicago.
The spiritually focused arts center displays paintings, workshops, performances, and other works. Autumn in particular explores the colorful facets of the harvest seasoon.

Pushing forward after May graduation, sculptor Evin Dubois (CCAD 2013) is now resident at the Contemporary Artists Center at Woodside in Troy, N.Y. Dubois arrived at the center in August, and the surroundings have allowed him to concentrate on a new body of work.

Fine Arts alumnus Christopher Maslon (CCAD 1996) had three of his silkscreens purchased by the Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum in Gangneung, South Korea.
The museum is the largest gramophone museum in the world. It has a collection of 4,500 phonographs, 150,000 phonograph records, 1,000 books, and 5,000 items from 20 nations.
The three Maslon works bought by the museum are Phonograph, Teal Blender on Yellow, and Refrigerator 1930.

Fine Arts alumnus Robert Tavani (CCAD 1985) will have a solo exhibition, Peeled Paintings: A New Way to Make a Painting. Really!, at Grid Furnishings through Sept. 28 in Columbus, OH.
The work in the show consists of paintings in which Tavani peeled up dried paint and re-painting sections to create layers similar to those in a collage.

Fine Arts alumna Christine D’Epiro Abbott (CCAD 2005) has a solo exhibition, This Island We Live On, at the Cultural Arts Center in Columbus, OH, through Sept. 28.
The exhibition has a range of work from large oil paintings to multimedia collages.

Illustration alumna Brianne Schulze (CCAD 2012) and Fine Arts alumna Nicole Strouss (CCAD 2008) had work in the group exhibition Inspired! Young Ohio Artists 2013 at the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus, OH.
The exhibition, which ran July 14–Aug. 18, featured work from nearly 30 young artists who got their start in an Ohio college or university.

Adjunct faculty and Fine Arts alumnus Joseph Lombardo (CCAD 2006) is having a busy summer—he had a solo exhibition in Michigan and will be a part of a two-person exhibition in Ohio.
His solo exhibition ran in July 12–18 at Lake Street Studios in Glen Arbor, MI.
His current work is a series of oil landscapes that was created with the support of a supplies grant he received from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

Fine Arts alumna Pallavi Sen (CCAD 2011) designed the July/August cover of Creative Gaga magazine.
The cover features work from Sen's collection Madhuri, a series of red, patterned prints that were first drawn by hand and then digitally created. Sen is also featured in an article discussing her international exposure as well as the thinking behind her unique artistic approach.
