Don’t break this code

If you haven't done so already, be sure to review the CCAD Student Handbook (which has info about campus services, facilities, and policies) and the Code of Conduct (which sets out behavioral expectations for students enrolled at CCAD). All students are subject to the provisions in the Code of Conduct and are encouraged to review it every year (and this year, please review our COVID-19 addendum).

Prefer a different name?

We recognize that for a variety of reasons, you may prefer to be addressed by a name other than your legal name. A preferred first name is a name that you choose to use in place of your legal first name on certain college-related records or documents. You might think of a preferred name as the name you are called in day-to-day life. Click here to see how you can update your preferred name.

Your preferred first name (aka “display name” in Self Service) will show up on class rosters, advising reports for advisors, and some internal pages of Self Service and GoStudio. It will not show up on financial aid or billing statements, academic plans, diplomas, transcripts, or official enrollment or degree verifications. Please note, your changed name may be viewable by parents, guardians, or others who have access to certain college systems, documents, and records. See the Preferred Name vs Legal Name Summary for details.
